Speak to Your Decision Makers

Given the Extremely Serious Issues Libby, Troy, and Lincoln County face, it is important that ALL Citizens take the opportunity, and accept the responsibility of being a vital part of the community to discuss and/or lobby for what they feel are the community needs.

We face several major problems:

Cleanup of the Libby Amphibole Asbestos Contamination resulting from thew. R. Grace Vermiculite mining operation.
Helping those who have incurred decease resulting from the W. R. Grace Vermiculite mining operation.
Economic Revitalization which is a result of closure of the two major industries; Vermiculite Mining and Lumber Production.

It is clear by now that the challenge in facing these problems is appropriating the funds necessary to cleanup the effected areas properly and effectively, provide proper medical care to those who suffer from diseases resulting from Libby Amphibole Asbestos contamination, and to implement an Economic Revitalization plan for Libby.

The people of Lincoln County must rally in a grassroots lobbying effort by writing, emailing, faxing, and calling their legislators and law makers, as well as other public administration officials who have a part in deciding how funds are distributed.
