Notice of Special Meeting

Libby Area Technical Assistance Group (LATAG)

A special meeting of the Libby Area Technical Assistance Group (LATAG) will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 7:00 pm. at Flathead Valley Community College, Room 117.

The purpose of the Special Meeting is to discuss the $250 million Settlement Agreement between W.R. Grace, et al, (Debtors) and the U.S. Government, on behalf of the U.S. Environmental Agency, (Plaintiff).

LATAG will review the agreement; discuss whether response is necessary within the 30-day public comment period, discuss the effect of this agreement on the community, and consider avenues for assuring that the funds will be expended in a manner that best serves the community.

We have invited representatives from the Montana Attorney Generals Office, and others to participate in the discussions.

LATAG encourages the public to attend with their comments, questions, and suggestions.
